Well put!!! I share most of the exact same feelings on outrage and the ability to create change (or lack there of) in this country. I do believe that George Bush had a golden opportunity to create real change in this country after 9/11 and blew it. As a young person who is part of a generation that is accused of being spoiled and lazy, it is often frustrating to look at the lack of outrage (or rather outrage without action) in this country among people my age. I hope that the part about becoming more resistence to outrage and change with age never happens to me or large segments of my generation. Unfortunatley, I think it will take an event far worse than 9/11 (or Katrina and Iraq for that matter) before people wake up and actually start to change. But I hope I am wrong!
