We should start a letter writing campaign now to Mr. Lehrer, as he has been the moderator at the Presidential debates the last few years.

Excellent suggestion. I think political organization is what it's going to take to get anything done.

Politicians pay attention to money and votes, and that's about it. Raising the profile of an issue means votes are at stake, and attention will be paid to the subject.

The problem with this case is the specific language of the statute seems to work against the parents. This may be a 9-0 case against them. But, of course, time will tell.
