Charles P. Fox, J.D. 312-606-0221
Special Education Attorney
The Individuals with Disabilities Act, the federal law which governs special education, was revised in 2004. Mr. Fox believes parents need to know what these changes are and how their children will be affected directly.
Charlie Fox, a special education attorney and father of a child with special needs, will highlight:
- Changes in transition planning (parents of middle school and high school parents will learn how their children will benefit)
- Changes in laws governing the behavior of special needs children
- The impact of recently ruled upon special education cases and upcoming Supreme Court cases
- What to watch for and how to stay on top of these changes

Special Kids/Special Families
Mr. Fox,
We have a 6 year old son with P.D.D. In the last 2 weeks, he has been having behavior problems that are increasing by the day. Two weeks ago, the school decided to change which entrance he comes in. Before he, along with other Kind. kids came in a separate door. Now, he has to come thru the front doors and walk the long hallway thru all the children and is becoming so overly stimulated that he can't even function once he gets to his locker. The school does not want to listen and thinks it is just my son, although his whole Diag. class is bouncing off the walls since this inception. What can I do?
Ed. Contact a local sped attorney and consider filing due process after consulting with that attorney.
